MOPS is for YOU!
Hillcrest Baptist Church is a charter member of Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS). We meet the second Friday of each month from 9:30- 11:30 AM from September through May. The MOPS program is for mothers-to-be and moms of children ages birth through kindergarten.
This group allows for moms to seek advice and learn from other moms about the challenges and rewards of being a preschool mommy. MOPS recognizes that the years from infancy through Kindergarten are foundational in a mother-child relationship and are filled with unique needs. Being the best mom God wants you to be is not a job to be done alone. Come and join a loving group of moms this month!
There is an annual membership fee of $35, which includes crafts, activities, and guest speakers for the MOPS meetings.

Q. What is MOPS?
A. MOPS is designed to encourage, equip, and develop every mother of preschoolers to realize her potential as a woman and mother. For more information about MOPS go to www.mops.org.
Q. When do you meet?
A. We meet the second Friday of each month from 9:30 – 11:30 AM.
Q. What do you do at a MOPS meeting?
A. Activities during a MOPS meeting will generally include: breakfast, guest speakers, small group discussion, creative activities and more. Guest speakers often are moms themselves or are professionals with helpful perspectives for mothers of young children. Possible topics for discussions include: discipline, marriage, financial planning, handling emergencies, teaching kids values, home organization, etc.
Q. What will my child/children do while I am at the MOPS meeting?
A. While the moms meet for fun and fellowship, the children are cared for by our MOPPETS program. MOPPETS is a unique curriculum designed especially for them with crafts, bible stories, snack time and fun activities.
Q. How much does it cost?
A. There is an annual membership fee of $35. For the 2011-2012 year, you will receive a magazine subscription to MOMsense magazine, MOPS weekly Mom E-mail, MOPS reusable shopping bag, MOPS Iron On Appliques, and MOPS stickers featuring VeggieTales. This money will also go towards our MOPS charter fee and providing craft supplies, speakers, and MOPPETS.
Q. Are scholarships available?
A. Yes, there are some scholarships available. So please DO NOT allow financial issues to be a reason to keep you from joining MOPS.
Q. How do I register?
A. To register, contact us. Please let us know the ages of your children that will attend the MOPS meeting with you. Then, just come to our next meeting! We will give you a form to complete at the meeting and accept your $35 membership fee.
