THANK YOU: I am still amazed at how God blessed Hillcrest financially during 2011. During our first two Sundays of the New Year I announced, to those present, that we had exceeded our 2011 Budget of $2,310,400.00 by $127,600.43, which made our total Budget receipts $2,438,000.43.
Also, we were blessed to exceed our Lottie Moon Christmas offering goal of $105,000 by just over $16,394.00 for a total of $121, 394.00.
How blessed we have been by the very gracious hand of God. Through His many faithful people that tithe and give offerings above the tithe we have witnessed Him do great things financially during a difficult economy. There is no doubt that for those of you that have been faithful in the tithe that God has and will continue to fulfill His promise found in Malachi 3:10—“Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and try Me now in this,” says the Lord of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you room enough to receive it.”
Sweets and Treats!! We will be selling Scrumptious Chocolate Covered Strawberries and other yummy treats for you to give the special valentines in your life! Pre-order with an LIT or at the Children’s Ministry Welcome Area by Wednesday, February 8. A dozen chocolate covered strawberries for $13.00 (pre-order). Please take this opportunity to share your appreciation with your teacher. It could be a note of appreciation, a plate of cookies, or a gift card to a favorite restaurant. Don’t let these suggestions limit your appreciation. Say “thank you” so our teachers will know that they are appreciated.
Sunday, January 29 & February 5
We will be hosting a giving tree in the foyer to help meet the needs of the children’s ministry at Remedy Church. Please begin praying for God’s guidance on how you can serve Remedy’s need.

Have you had “the talk” with your tween or teen lately? With the season of Love (Valentine’s Day) coming up soon, come hear an incredible lesson series about what God’s word has to say about dating, relationships, and Biblical manhood and womanhood. This is a four week series that will be taught on Wednesday nights starting January 18th during REVO to the tweens and teens. At the same time, parents of tweens and teens will be taught the same information in a different area. Includes a free book for the parent to use at home with their tween and/or teen. Series ends on Wednesday, February 8th with an exciting Valentine party for parents and teens.
