Hillcrest continues to Regather
This Sunday will be our fifth week gathering together since restrictions on corporate gatherings were lifted by the governor. Each week more people continue to come for live worship. We invite you to join us in-person as you feel comfortable. Social distancing guidelines are in place to ensure the safety of our church family. We look forward to seeing you back at church soon!As always, our live stream will be available for those watching from home. Watch live on our website at hillcrestbc.com/live, or via Facebook or YouTube.
Construction Continues
Construction is continuing at a dizzying pace on campus. The first half of our new office is nearing completion and our staff should begin moving into that wing in the next few weeks. The old office area in the B Wing has been gutted and new walls are going up. This space will bring new Sunday School classrooms into the main building providing quick and easy access to the Worship Center. Our Children’s Wing Welcome Center is also getting a facelift. A new desk and check-in area, as well as bright new signage will welcome members and guests to our campus as they drop off their children for church and our Hillcrest Child Development Center.
Drive Through Graduation // Sunday, May 31 • 4:00 PM
We are so proud of our Class of 2020 graduating seniors, and we want to celebrate them IN PERSON! You are cordially invited to attend a Drive Through Graduation Celebration. We will meet in the back parking lot of the church this Sunday at 4:00 PM to honor our graduates. Feel free to decorate your cars, make signs, or come up with another way to let our seniors know how much we love them.
Hillcrest Response Team
As COVID-19 restrictions began to be implemented nationwide, Hillcrest began to respond to community needs in a variety of ways. One immediate need created by the “shelter at home policy” was the expressed risk to senior adults venturing into the marketplace. The Hillcrest Response Team was formed to provide toilet paper, paper towels, masks, and other hard-to-find items to seniors who were “sheltering.” The Hillcrest volunteers also began to pick up groceries and pharmaceuticals for home deliveries. It was not long before we were able to partner with the City of Cedar Hill, to fulfill the needs of seniors who were calling the city for help. To date, we have helped well over 100 families with errands, repairs, and even yard work.
Many thanks to Heather Moody for her help with coordination and logistics, and of course, to our many volunteers. We invite anyone with this kind of need to contact Hillcrest at (972) 291-3521 or Donnie Page at (214) 803-0064
Giving
It is because of the sacrificial giving of our Hillcrest family that we are able to provide help for those in need. Thanks to your faithfulness, we are continuing to minister to those who need to hear the Gospel of Jesus as we help them in a tangible way. We are also continuing to support our mission partners serving all across the globe as they proclaim the name of Jesus to the ends of the earth.
As always, you can drop your gifts off at the church during the week, or during service on Sunday, You can also give online at hillcrestbc.com/give. If you would like to help setting up online giving, feel free to contact our Finance office for more information.
