Today, in conjunction with the grand opening of our new HomeLife Center, we begin a new three-part sermon series entitled Building Strong Families. HomeLife is an effort to help every household build faith at home and God honoring families. HomeLife is a one stop place where you can visit and talk to our HomeLife hosts about resources that can help you personally, as well as your family.

In the HomeLife Center, you will find free resources as well as books and other helpful materials which may be purchased. In the coming weeks, we will also have a website component, a wonderful tool which can point you to additional information and resources.

As we begin this series we are going to start with the beginning—the foundation—a strong marriage. There are a variety of different kinds of homes at Hillcrest: singles with and without children, couples with and without children, empty–nesters, grandparents, and many more. We have resources for these and many other situations covering every age, every stage, and every phase of life, but we want to begin with the biblical institution of marriage. The passage that we are looking at today, I Corinthians 13:4–8, has principles that will fit your life and has an application for your life regardless of your posture in the family today.
