Good morning! I’m glad to welcome you to worship today at Hillcrest Baptist Church.

It has been said that children are like wet cement. Whatever falls on them makes an impression. Proverbs 22:6 says, “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” In other words, parent are to be proactive in making the right impressions on their children, and if the parent declines their role, the culture our children participate in will be more than happy to place their fingerprint of ungodliness in your child’s character.

As we come to our third and final message in the sermon series “REAL”, we will be examining the subject REAL CHILDREN based on Psalms 78:1-8. In Psalms 78 we will discover a “game plan” for raising godly children–REAL CHILDREN—which, by the way, is the parent’s responsibility and not that of anyone else or of any other organization.

At Hillcrest, we believe that our responsibility is to equip and to resource you in parenting your child(ren). In fact, our belief and conviction is so strong that we have many free resources in our Home Life Center, and our Children’s and Student Ministries are intentional about working with you in leading your child(ren) to Christ and teaching them to be fully devoted followers of Christ.
