What a privilege it is to welcome our guests each week. However, today we are privileged to have several public servants from our city of Cedar Hill as our special guests. Our city leaders were invited to Hillcrest this morning so we may express our support and appreciation for their leadership and service to the more than 48,000 residents of Cedar Hill.

Since moving to Cedar Hill on November 20, 2000, Hillcrest has been greatly encouraged and supported by our city leadership and the citizens of Cedar Hill. All have been greatly blessed by the godly leadership of many of our leaders, and especially our Mayor, Rob Franke, who has been passionate about spiritual transformation in our city.

The Hillcrest family extends a welcome to our public servants, and we want to express our appreciation for all that you do. We are particularly grateful to partner with you as we kick off our seventh annual Love Loud effort to LOVE LOUD all the leaders and residents of this great city.

Love Loud is Hillcrest’s one day mission trip to Cedar Hill. Our members will go out together on October 1, 2016 to express the love of Christ through various service projects and acts of kindness. Love Loud moves us beyond the walls of the church and gives us venues to love our neighbors as our Lord commanded in Matthew 22:34-40.

It is not simply enough to say it, we must do it. Now more than ever our culture, our city and our neighbors need real HOPE, a hope that only can be found through the GOSPEL.

1 John 3:18 — “My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.”
