Good morning! I’m glad to welcome you to worship today at Hillcrest Baptist Church. 

For the past five weeks we have been learning about the biblical foundation and charge of our Mission/Vision (love and serve God and love and serve others), and our Strategy (Worship, Grow, Serve and Go) for fulfilling the very reason we exist as a church.

Today we will see that the end result of genuine Worship, Growing in Christ, and Serving in the body of Christ will always result in our Going. When we have a real heart for God, we will be passionate about the same things our Lord was and is passionate about.

Even though there are many verses in the Bible that reveal the mission and passion of our Lord, there are two that clearly declare His heart:

John 3:16 –For God so loved the world that gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Luke 19:10 – “for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.”

As we come to the GO in our Strategy, we will discover in Matthew 28:18–20 and Acts 1:8, that GO was the last command that Jesus left for His followers, and His only plan to take the Gospel to all people.
