This week in our series of 40 Days of Prayer, we are going to learn about Praying for a Breakthrough.Martin Luther wrote, “As it is in the business of tailors to make clothes, and as it is in the business of cobblers to mend shoes, it is the business of Christians to pray.”

In 40 Days of Prayer, we are learning that it is the business of every follower of Christ to pray.  What if we prayed rather than spending time worrying?  What if we prayed rather than spending time complaining?  What if we prayed when…_______________? All too often we allow the urgent to distract us from the important and essential- PRAYER.

Today we will discover in Luke 11:1-11 that Jesus taught his disciples not only how to pray, but about praying for a breakthrough, especially when we do not become distracted by the urgent, but instead, make prayer our most important business.
