Today we are privileged to have Jason Hatch, Pastor of Redeemer Midland, to preach the Word.  Jason is the lead pastor at Redeemer Midland. He was born and raised on a farm west of Amarillo and started following Christ as a six-year-old boy. He was a pre-med major at Amarillo College when God, incredibly clearly, called him to life as a pastor. Jason immediately transferred to Dallas Baptist University to study the Bible and meet his incredible wife, Hannah. They have three beautiful, fun, creative, and very energetic kids: Judah, Paisley, and Hudson. Jason has served as a youth pastor at an inner-city church, the director of Baptist Student Ministries at DBU, and the College & Men’s Pastor at First Baptist Irving. He graduated from DBU in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical studies, 2006 with a Master of Arts in Higher Education, and 2007 with a Master of Business Administration in Business Management.

Redeemer Midland was planted just over four years ago. After meeting Jason when he preached Justin Smith’s ordination service, I discovered that he was praying about planting a church in Midland. I told him to let me know the when and the where, because Hillcrest would want to be involved in supporting a church plant wherever God was leading.  Redeemer Midland was planted in January 2016, later growing to several hundred members, and they are equipping others to go and do the same.
