From an early age, Brian’s life has been drawn to music. From piano lessons at the age of four to high school and college band, he was always making music.

Brian began leading worship during his senior year of high school for the small church that he had grown up in.  He had served on the worship team since the age of nine, beginning as the overhead projector operator.  When he started playing trombone in middle school band, he approached the worship leaders about using his trombone, and later bassoon, in worship.

Not until his freshman year of college at the University of Texas at Arlington did Brian sense the Lord’s call to use his musical giftedness in vocational ministry.

Brian went on to graduate from Dallas Baptist University with a Bachelor of Music in Church Music in 2006 and went on to serve as Associate Minister of Music at First Baptist Church of Duncanville.

Brian has served on the staff at Hillcrest since 2011. He currently oversees the Communications Department and serves as worship leader for our modern worship service.

Brian and his wife, Sarah, live in Midlothian and have two children, Noah and Aubrey.
