I grew up in the small East Texas town of Whitehouse, TX which is right outside of Tyler, TX and is about 2 hours east of Dallas. My family means the world to me and I’m super close with each one of them. My parents still live in the same house I grew up in, and I have a younger sister who is a freshman at SFA. I have two dogs, named Dash and Daisy who are 11 years old now and two cats name Tucker and Trixie and they live with my parents.

I first started to realize that I love working with children when I went on my first mission trip in another country at the age of 12. That passion grew as I volunteered with children anytime I could. I thought I was supposed to be a teacher when I went into college, but a month in, the Lord changed my heart and showed me that children’s ministry was where he was calling me to. I switched my major and from there on he has continued to show me and has opened door after door and continues to equip me and give me the passion and heart to love and show Christ to each child I encounter.
