I am excited to report that we started the site work for our newest education building the week of October 15th. This building will be a combination of contracted work as well as the labor of love of volunteers within Hillcrest Baptist Church. If you are interested in helping out, please give me a call or drop me a note. We had a grand time working on Building J. Building K is 3,230 square feet and is just a bit smaller than Building J. Building K will have one large class room and one small classroom plus supporting restrooms and commons areas. The hope is that it will be able to facilitate our largest Sunday School classes as well as serve as a reception area when we eventually build the chapel next to it.

We continue to transition into the new software for membership. Please follow the newsletter and e-newsletter to see how you can access your information online. This promises to be a great resource as we organize and move forward in our communications. Please check it out. Part of this process is online giving. We are hoping to have this process up and running in the next few weeks. Keep an eye on the eNews to see when we kick it off.

On a similar note, when you can, please use the green envelopes you receive in the mail when possible. It helps our teller ministry team as they do their work.

Lastly, I would like to invite any and all men that are willing to join a small group of men that meet with our pastor each Monday morning at 6:00 am in the Library/Conference room with the express task of praying for revival in our church, community, state, nation, and the world. This group has been meeting literally for decades. Our recent revival with Rick Coram is evidence of the power of prayer. Come join us.

Growing together to be like Christ,

rupert r. robbins
