At MDWK Kids, we provide a dynamic environment where children from preschool through 6th grade can grow in their faith and build strong relationships.

Preschool: Our preschoolers enjoy a hands-on experience where they explore the wonders of God’s love through Bible stories, crafts, and songs tailored just for them. During MDWK our preschoolers learn about God in a fun and interactive way, making every moment a valuable step in their spiritual journey.

  • Parents can connect with what their preschooler is learning by using the Parent Cue App, which offers helpful resources and activities to reinforce lessons at home. ParentCue

Our Wednesday night program for 1st-6th graders is all about discipleship. We’re dedicated to helping children grow in their walk with Christ, discover their identity in Him, and learn how to live out their faith every day.

What We Do

At MDWK Kids, we focus on the following key areas:

Spiritual Growth and Identity in Christ

  • Leading Kids to Christ: We aim to introduce children to a saving knowledge of Jesus, helping them understand the gospel and make a personal decision to follow Him.
  • Discovering Identity: We guide kids in understanding who they are in Christ, building a strong foundation of faith that will carry them through their lives.

Spiritual Disciplines

  • Devotional Life: We teach children the importance of having a regular devotional time, including reading and applying God’s Word to their daily lives.
  • Prayer: Kids learn how to pray and develop a personal relationship with God through regular communication with Him.
  • Service: We help children discover their spiritual gifts and encourage them to use these gifts to serve within the church, in their community, and even on the mission field.

Equipping for Ministry

  • Sharing the Gospel: Children are equipped to share their faith with others, learning how to communicate the message of Jesus effectively.
  • Hands-on Ministry: We provide opportunities for kids to engage in practical ministry, serving others in various capacities both inside and outside the church.

Partnering with Parents

We believe that parents play a crucial role in the discipleship of their children. Our program is designed to support families in this process, providing tools and resources to help parents lead their children spiritually at home.

Lil' Explorers

Lil’ Explorers is a weekly program for preschoolers 3 years old- Kindergarten. Children must be three years of age as of September 1st .
The program provides preschoolers with foundational truths about God, the Bible, and salvation. It features Scripture memorization and basic Bible truths preschoolers can understand. We recognize that parents are the primary spiritual influence of the home and we want to partner with parents to work as a team in spiritually nurturing your child.
Lil’s Explorer time is broken down into three areas: Crafts, Music, and Story Time.
This is a fun environment to help your preschooler learn about God.

Nehemiah Kids

Nehemiah Kids is a discipleship ministry for children in the 1st through 4th grades. The Purpose of Nehemiah Kids is to see boys and girls grow in their walk of faith and to support families in the process of disciplining their children. Through this ministry, adult leaders work with the children to:
  • lead any of them who are lost to a saving knowledge of Christ,
  • help them discover their identity in Christ,
  • disciple them in spiritual disciplines,
  • equip them for sharing the Gospel and doing ministry, and
  • help them find places of service in the church and in the community.
  • assist parents in the process of disciplining their children,
  • teach children the spiritual discipline of having a regular devotional life,
  • teach them how to apply God’s Word to their daily lives,
  • teach them how to pray and spend time alone with God,
  • help those who have received Christ discover their spiritual gifts and use them to build up God’s church,

Leaders In Training

Leaders in Training is a discipleship ministry for children in the 5th and 6th grades. Through this ministry, adult leaders work with the children to:
  • help them discover their identity in Christ,
  • equip them for sharing the Gospel and doing ministry, and
  • help them find places of service in the church, in the community, and on the mission field.
  • assist parents in the process of disciplining their  children,
  • teach them how to apply God’s Word to their daily lives,
  • teach them how to pray and spend time alone with God,
