Operation Christmas Child brings joy and hope to children in desperate situations around the world through gift-filled shoe boxes and the Good News of God’s love. People of all ages can be involved in this simple, hands-on mission project while focusing on the true meaning of Christmas—Jesus Christ.

  • Use an empty shoebox (average size) or a small plastic container. Determine whether your gift will be for a boy or a girl and the age category. (2–4, 5–9, or 10–14). Fill the box with a variety of gifts that will bring delight to a child. (School supplies, small toys, personal hygiene items, hard candy. Please no toy guns, knives or military figures or breakable items.)
  • Include a personal note to the child and $7 to cover the cost of shipping. Make checks payable to Samaritan’s Purse.
