Good morning! I’m glad to welcome you to worship today at Hillcrest Baptist Church.

We are currently in a 7-week series entitled, “It Starts With Me.” Last week as we examined Our Mission and Measures we learned what it means to “love and serve God, and love and serve others”, and how we can measure how we are doing individually in fulfilling our mission.

Today we are going to share our values. If someone were to ask you, “what do the members of Hillcrest value as a church family,” how would you respond? To value means to hold dear or regard highly. What do your hold dear as a member of Hillcrest?

There is no greater model for what any church should value than what the first church valued found in the book of Acts. We find in Acts 2:41-47 a testimony of what they valued, and gratefully we find that Hillcrest holds dear the same values: Biblical Truth, Passionate Worship, Authentic Relationships, Missional Living and Prayer.
