Frequently Asked Questions
There are those who say that there are many streams (or ways) that lead to the same ocean (Heaven). That is not true. Christianity is the one true way and it is not a religion, rather than a relationship with God. Christians believe that Christianity is the only true way, but they are not trying to be exclusive or narrow-minded; rather, they are simply believing in and sharing what Jesus said. Jesus said that He was the only way to the Father (John 14:6), only through Him are sins forgiven (Mark 2:5, Luke 5:20), and He rose from the dead (Luke 24:24-29). For more information on why Christianity is the one true religion, read the following article found HERE.
John 10:28 says, “I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.” When we become a follower of Jesus we receive salvation through Christ and we become His to keep. To say that we could lose our salvation would mean that Jesus was not able to keep his promise in John 10:28. We must remember that we do not earn salvation through our good works and as a result, we are not able to lose our salvation because of our ‘bad works.’ Salvation is by grace, through faith (Ephesians 2:8-9). It is a result of the perfect life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ for you and you placing your trust in Him, rather than in your own efforts. According to the Bible, there are only two places that we can go when we die: Heaven or Hell. In our world today this is not a popular belief; however, it is clear in the Bible that this is true. If you are a follower of Jesus, when you die you will go to live with the Lord for eternity (2 Corinthians 5:8, Philippians 1:23). If you are not a follower of Jesus, when you die you will be eternally separated from the Lord (Matthew 25:46, 2 Peter 2:9).
