Who Is Jesus?

Jesus is the central figure of Christianity. In John 14:6, Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me.” Salvation for any person is found through, Jesus and Jesus alone. Jesus is also the second person in the Trinity. John 1:1-2 says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God…” He is both human and divine…God and man at the same time. Jesus is the perfect Savior. He never made a mistake and performed many miracles throughout His life including healing, casting out demons, walking on water, calming a storm, raising people from the dead, and rising from the dead Himself. For more information on who Jesus is, read the following article by Matt Slick HERE.

The most important question to ask yourself is, “Have I come to a point in my life where I have invited Christ to forgive me and to take control?” If your answer is “no” or “I’m not sure,” I want to encourage to watch this short video explaining the need we all have for Christ to forgive us and take control of our lives. It could make an eternal difference in your life! If you would like to talk with a pastor about this decision, please e-mail us HERE.

Frequently Asked Questions

There are those who say that there are many streams (or ways) that lead to the same ocean (Heaven). That is not true. Christianity is the one true way and it is not a religion, rather than a relationship with God. Christians believe that Christianity is the only true way, but they are not trying to be exclusive or narrow-minded; rather, they are simply believing in and sharing what Jesus said. Jesus said that He was the only way to the Father (John 14:6), only through Him are sins forgiven (Mark 2:5, Luke 5:20), and He rose from the dead (Luke 24:24-29). For more information on why Christianity is the one true religion, read the following article found HERE.

John 10:28 says, “I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.” When we become a follower of Jesus we receive salvation through Christ and we become His to keep. To say that we could lose our salvation would mean that Jesus was not able to keep his promise in John 10:28. We must remember that we do not earn salvation through our good works and as a result, we are not able to lose our salvation because of our ‘bad works.’ Salvation is by grace, through faith (Ephesians 2:8-9). It is a result of the perfect life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ for you and you placing your trust in Him, rather than in your own efforts. For a written conversation about whether we can lose our salvation, go HERE.

According to the Bible, there are only two places that we can go when we die: Heaven or Hell. In our world today this is not a popular belief; however, it is clear in the Bible that this is true. If you are a follower of Jesus, when you die you will go to live with the Lord for eternity (2 Corinthians 5:8, Philippians 1:23). If you are not a follower of Jesus, when you die you will be eternally separated from the Lord (Matthew 25:46, 2 Peter 2:9).
