The book of James is the “shoe leather” book; it is about showing your faith through your works, life style, activities, priorities, and ultimately through your perspective about what is important.

As we come to James 1:9-12 we are challenged about keeping a proper perspective, regardless of our wealth, or lack thereof, we are to pursue that which is eternal.   If we are not careful we will lose our perspective about what is important, and especially eternal, as we pursue things that are meaningless when compared to the call to follow and live for Christ.  How do we stay on track?  How can we pursue that which is important?  Perspective!  Perspective is the mental view or outlook of what we see in our world, circumstances, situations and Lord, which will determine what we pursue in this life.

What is your perspective from your position on life, and what is really important?
